Back to Edinburgh
After a wonderful third day of touring Skye and the Scottish highlands (and another full day of SUN), we are back in Edinburgh, enjoying dinner!

Land of the Fairies
What an amazing day!
Sights, stories, food, folklore - and mostly a day of sunshine, which almost never happens on Skye!
The highlight of my day was climbing to the top of this precipice!
If you've seen that incredible YouTube video of the extreme mountain biker on Skye, The trail at the top of this looks so much like it! And I did it too! Holy breathtaking! It was in a beautiful 'secret' little area called Land of the Faeries - and this was the top of the faerie castle. So the story goes. What a thrill to find this and walk the path!

Edinburgh!
After a wonderful lunch at my cousin Paul's, who lives in Edinburgh out near the airport, his wife Cath and daughter Lisa drove us back into town. Mum and I enjoyed a lovely stroll down Princes Street and through Princes Gardens. The views of Edinburgh Castle were amazing!

The German polka music coming from those tents was a little out of place but otherwise ..... amazing!

Lunch stop at Fort William. I wasn't expecting wifi today so I haven't taken too many pics on my phone. Too bad - it's an absolutely incredible day - warm, blue sky and sunny. We couldn't have asked for a better day!

Wedding
I've had a few wifi issues the last couple of days so the pre-wedding and wedding posts are both being shared today (Sunday).
The wedding was amazing! Beautiful venue, so many kilts, a fabulous meal (check out the Scottish menu!), a ceilidh with Scottish country dancing and a full day of reminiscing and reconnecting with amazing people! What a joyful time! Most pics are on my camera but here are a couple.
Pre-wedding
What a night! About 25 of us gathered for a pre-wedding family reunion dinner. So many hugs, kisses, stories, questions, tears, laughter and love!

My. cousin Pat lives in this small town just outside Glasgow. This afternoon, after a nap, mum and I had a little walk around town. The first pic is of Pat's house. The next one ....... well check out that traffic!

I created this blog as a place to share pics and tales. Blogger has a nice app that's easy to use, so I'll be adding posts from my phone, hopefully daily, depending on wifi access - fingers crossed!
